Camp Aurora Cabin Leader Applications Now Open!

Camp Aurora is an overnight summer camp in Manitoba that is subsidized and created for 2SLGBTQ+ youth. This camp serves youth ages 14-17 who identify as Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual, non-binary, genderfluid, queer, and/or questioning. Camp Aurora is located about 2 hours out of Winnipeg in the Whiteshell area at Variety’s Camp Brereton.

Cabin Leaders are expected to be at Camp from the evening of Friday, August 23 to the evening of Thursday, August 29th.

As a Cabin Leader, your meals and stay will be covered, and a $600 honorarium will be provided as an appreciation for your time, energy, and skill set.

Why volunteer as a Cabin Leader?

  • To make meaningful connections within the 2SLGBTQ+ community and help foster a greater sense of belonging for 2SLGBTQ+ youth across Manitoba.
  • To learn more about Rainbow and the resources, supports, and education we provide to 2SLGBTQ+ youth.
  • To get outdoors, learn something new, try something you’ve never done before, and have fun!
