Events For 55±

  • Over the Rainbow: CMHA Workshop

    10:00am – 11:00am

Well-being can be described as the state of being comfortable, healthy, and happy. This course will describe the various dimensions of well-being and impact of well-being on our mental health. This online session is for caregivers who often focus their attention and energy on others leaving little for themselves. We will discuss compassion fatigue and exhaustion and explore strategies for daily self-care. If you struggle to prioritize yourself, this is the course for you!

  • Over the Rainbow: Foot Health Webinar

    10:00am – 11:00am

It is often said that one can tell a lot of overall health based on the health of one's feet. Over time and with age and mobility restrictions, caring for one's feet can get difficult. The WHRA's Health Aging Resource Team is here to give helpful and medically-informed advice for caring for our feet. For many, our feet carry us to the many places we must travel through life, let us care for them as best we can!

    10:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m.
    Via Zoom

  • Over the Rainbow Goes to The Leaf

    10:00am – 12:00pm

The Leaf has kindly welcomed us back for a tour of the botanical gardens, outdoor gardens and butterfly sanctuary!

Plant life and butterflies undergo some of our most analogous experiences of transformation and migration, making this trip to the Leaf a great addition to our August programming theme of "Migration and Transformation".

  • Over the Rainbow Clay Ceramics Workshop

    12:00pm – 3:00pm

One of the most beautiful aspects of creating art is the transformation process. You start with a blank canvas, a ball of yarn, or in this case, a lump of clay. Through the love of your hands, the creativity of your soul, and the kind guidance of our artist Sage, we will transform our lumps of clay into a work of art!
