A Taste for Life returns to Winnipeg on Wednesday, April 17th, a unique initiative that brings together hospitality partners and the community to support a vibrant and healthy Manitoba. Brought to you by title sponsor: G is for Glasses
What is A Taste for Life (ATFL)? ATFL started in Ottawa in 1999 as a joint effort of Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation. The tradition now continues with Bruce House operating A Taste for Life, which has been joined by communities from across the country, with Winnipeg joining in 2022. Nine Circles’ HIV Lived Experience Advisory has deemed Winnipeg’s 2024 theme:
“Not Letting Our Stories Disappear” an intergenerational approach to HIV/AIDS history, storytelling, activism, and building community.
How does it work? Diners can head out on Wednesday, April 17th to grab a delicious meal, drink, or snack from any 12 participating locations. Proceeds from their purchase will be donated to the life-saving programs and services that Nine Circles Community Health Centre offers such as: Indigenous cultural programming, support groups & peer connection, Hi-5 fund for economic support, and anti-stigma projects and campaigns.
