Kaylen (Kay) Lamb

Kay (he/him or they/them) is a queer, transgender man, and a white settler living and working on Treaty 1 territory, on the land of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Métis, and Oji-Cree Nations, where Rainbow Resource Centre is located. Kay joined Rainbow Resource Centre in 2018 as a social work practicum student, and graduated with his Bachelor of Social Work degree in October 2019. He has previous experience working as a case coordinator for Employment and Income Assistance, and a practicum student in the Life and Employability Enhancement Program for refugee youth (LEEP). Since December 2018, he has been working as a Counsellor, providing single session and short-term counselling to 2SLGBTQ+ and allied individuals, families, and couples, including polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships. Kay is proud to work with the 2SLGBTQ+ community to foster resiliency, healing and growth in children, youth, adults, seniors and families. Kay works from a trauma-informed, person-centred, anti-oppressive and harm-reduction lens, and provides advocacy, education, and healing support to clients, to help them navigate systems, gain skills and access resources, and achieve their goals.
