Call for Camp Aurora Facilitators!

Camp

Call for facilitators!

We’re so excited to bring back Camp Aurora virtually in a matter of months! It’s the only camp in Manitoba specifically for gender and sexually diverse youth.

Along with familiar faces we are looking for new facilitators who share our passion of connecting with 2SLGBTQ+ youth to share knowledge, opportunities, create safer spaces and community.

We also have dedicated space for our BIPOC and two-spirit youth.

Workshop programming focuses on a range of activities and topics like queer sex-ed, self care, being creative, exploring identities, queer history and more.

If you are an individual who is interested in being a part of virtual Camp Aurora leading a discussion, teaching a skill or hosting a performance please let us know!

We are open to new ideas and new faces in support of the community.

Priority will be given to individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous and or a person of color (BIPOC), people with disabilities and neurodivergent folks.

Interested folks can reach out to Alice (Camp Aurora Coordinator) at AliceC@rainbowresourcecentre.org.

[The backgrounds is an image of the progress pride flag designed by Daniel Quasar. It is a five color chevron added to the rainbow pride flag in the colors of black and brown to represent QTBIPOC folks and pink blue and white to represent the transgender flag. On top of the progress flag is a white circle with Camp Aurora's logo in the middle above the logo an arch of text reads "call for facilitators" below the logo it says "honorarium provided".]
