Everyone’s experience of being 2SLGBTQ+ is unique and so the supports and resources needed are not the same for everyone. You can find information on some of our various social and support groups available to 55+ members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community below.

Special projects

Recognizing the Senior 2SLGBTQ+ community is heavily underserved, and lacks programming to address specific needs, Finding Rainbows is a project that will offer a space that allows community members to connect, share their experiences, and express their needs. The project is organized and led by 2SLGBTQ+ adults who are 55 and older. The Finding Rainbows Summit was held in November 2017.

With a vision to be Canada’s most recognised and respected 2SLGBTQ+ affordable senior housing community, Positive Spaces hopes to create affirming, affordable housing for 2SLGBTQ+ seniors that authentically engages and enriches; to provide a beacon of unity and pride through collaboration and self-determination; and to invest in our diversity and collective experience to perfect this place and to steward it on behalf of future generations.
