What better way to take self-care than to take a mindful stroll through the incredible halls and spaces of the Winnipeg Art Gallery & Quamajuq?

On Friday, July 12th, OTR will be heading to the gallery to not only peruse the space on our own time and schedule, but folks are also welcome to join me (Elizabeth) on a tour of the Indigenous Storytelling art pieces throughout the gallery. This guided tour is around 90 minutes and an entirely optional point of participation.

The WAG tour guide will share with us the intricate and beautiful tradition of Indigenous storytelling and the art that accompanies those tales. Tours include a focus on the story of the Raven and Nuliajuk (an Inuk story).

Entry is paid for by the Over the Rainbow program, as well as a coffee or drink on me after the tour has concluded! Once admittance has been confirmed, folks can tour the space at their own pace if they wish, and use whatever mobility devices needed to feel comfortable and have a great time. Please be mindful that these tours and spaces can involve a lot of walking, so folks with mobility impairments may want to consider bringing a walker, motorized device, or health care aide for assistance. As always, I will be happy to assist folks as needed throughout the trip.

Registration is encouraged to ensure folks can write down emergency contacts and health conditions in case of emergency.

See you there!
