Over the Rainbow Goes to Reel Pride

Reel Pride Film Festival is Canada's oldest LGBTTQ* film festival! Since 1985, they have showcased nearly a thousand films, bringing diverse and unique content to Winnipeg audiences. Reel Pride has been generous enough to donate some tickets for older adult participants of Rainbow Resource Centre to attend the film festival for one night this year! Blue Jean (2023): It's 1988. In a climate of rampant homophobia, PE teacher Jean is forced to live a double life. A respected member of staff during the week; on the weekend she slips into Newcastle’s gay scene. When a new student threatens to expose her, Jean is caught in a dilemma to protect her job and her integrity.
