Tia (they/them) is a non-binary Queer who lives and works in Winnipeg, Manitoba Treaty 1 Territory, the territories of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dene, Dakota, and Metis Nations.

Tia is Rainbow Resource Centre’s Youth Support Counsellor and has considerable experience working with not-for-profit agencies and at-risk youth. They became involved with the Centre as a volunteer for Camp Aurora, and has held multiple roles including being part of Camp Aurora’s BIPOC Advisory Committee, Cabin Leader, Group Facilitator and Summer Staff in the Youth Program. Tia recently graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Social Work program and is excited to continue working within the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Tia works within a trauma-informed, person-centered, anti-oppressive and harm reduction lens. Tia is passionate about supporting and uplifting the 2SLGBTQ+ community and hopes to help participants feel supported, seen and heard.
