Samara Luprypa

Samara Luprypa is the Youth Program Coordinator at Rainbow Resource Centre, which includes Peer Project for Youth, Youth Empowerment Program, and Camp Aurora. Samara is a Registered Social Worker with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She works to provide meaningful programming and opportunities to LGBT2SQ+ youth that aims to build capacity, resilience, and leadership skills. Creating a positive space where youth can explore their identities and feel that their authentic selves are honored and celebrated, is central to her role.

Samara began her involvement at Rainbow Resource Centre as a social work practicum student in 2011 and has remained involved with the Centre in a number of capacities ever since. Samara previously coordinated the Youth Education Program (Youth Educating Against Homophobia); providing training and support to youth in K-12 schools throughout Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, as well as consultations to teachers and support workers on LGBT2SQ+ inclusive programming. Working with diverse communities within schools has informed her work in the youth program, as she has remained involved with Peer Project for Youth and Camp Aurora for the past 6 years.
