Melanie has previous involvement with Rainbow Resource Centre in several roles: summer student, social work practicum student, youth programmer for PPY (Peer Project for Youth), and supervisor in the YEAH (Youth Educating Against Homophobia) program.

Melanie Leslie is a Registered Social Worker with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work Degree. She is midway through the Master's of Social Work Degree at the University of Manitoba focusing on direct practice with individuals and families. She has worked in mental health at Klinic Community Health Centre and at the YM-YWCA of Winnipeg’s Learning and Leisure Centre, and in harm reduction with the WRHA’s Street Connections outreach program.
