Dene Guillas
Dene (he/they) is a proud Métis Two-Spirit, pansexual, transgender man, husband and father who has always lived and worked on Treaty One Territory, the territories of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dene, Dakota and beautiful Métis Nations. They always strive to honor and respect the original teachers of this land, who used knowledge sharing and story telling to educate others.
He has been lucky enough to be involved in the training and education field for 20 years. Whether it was in a classroom environment, community centre, large conferences, or small gatherings, they have always tried to make sure learning is inclusive to everyone.
His love of educating and helping others led him to Rainbow Resource Centre in 2019 and this has allowed their passion of interacting and speaking to others to turn into a way to give back to the community. Specifically focusing on raising awareness for our youth is a purpose that is extremely close to his heart and will always seek to find, create, and expand the spaces for youth to thrive!
