Chrystal

Chrystal is a Métis Social Worker, living and working on Treaty 1 territory, on the land of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Métis, and Oji-Cree Nations. Chrystal is a dedicated ally and advocate of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. She has personal ties and a connection with the community, which has fuelled her desire to pursue a career working with the older adult participants of the Rainbow Resource Centre, providing counselling, and advocacy supports.

Chrystal obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree (U of W), with a double major in Sociology and Developmental Studies, and a Bachelor of Social Work degree (U of M).

Chrystal previously worked for a number of years at Villa Rosa, as a Residential Care Worker, and later as a social worker.

Chrystal sees working at the Rainbow Resource Centre as an honour, with the goal of helping participants to feel supported, seen, and heard.
