Alice Charles (she/her) is a queer Black queen who lives and works on Treaty One Territory, original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Métis, and Oji-Cree Nations. She is excited to join the Rainbow Resource Centre working with the youth team. Alice will be responsible for BIPOC programming and coordinating Camp Aurora.
Alice comes with years of experience working with youth of all ages in a variety of settings. From support work to hands on experiential learning and youth sport, she understands the value and power that community has to positively impact individuals.
Her goal is to listen to the youth and provide them with different experiences that empower, educate, and inspire them to be and do what they choose.
While she’s not at Rainbow, Alice is working on finishing her undergrad in Psych, coaching at Legacy Cheerleading, the athletic program and facility she co-owns, chasing around her kids, or playing an occasional game of chess.
Alice feels appreciative to have the opportunity to actively participate, support and learn from the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
